Wellbore cleanup & intervention

Clean the wellbore. Then treat it.

Clean-up BHAs are built in the Port Harcourt shop and run as a string: scraper and brush, junk catcher, magnet, circulation tool, vacuum tool when the well needs reverse-circulation pickup.

Elevateur VX and 9-5/8" Elevateur

Both tools pick up debris by negative-pressure reverse circulation. Pumping through the vortex creates a low-pressure zone that draws cuttings, scale, and junk into a screened collection chamber instead of leaving them in the wellbore or on top of a plug or formation-isolation valve.

VX (3.625" tool OD) — borehole range 4-1/2" to 9-5/8". Optimal 4.5–5 bbl/min. 15 collection-chamber joints. Top connection 2-3/8" API Regular. Max make-up 1,800 ft-lb. Tensile yield 180,000 lb.

9-5/8" Elevateur — same reverse-circulation principle with a 65 ft filter-screen chamber for larger casing cleanouts. 4-1/2 IF box × pin, max OD 8.00", min ID 2.80", 5,000 psi test.

Non-rotating casing scraper

Removes residual cement, mud and tie-in burrs, perforation debris, rust, scale, and hard paraffin. Non-rotating mode protects casing; a shear ring converts the tool to rotating mode when needed. Blades hold 360° contact with the casing ID.

Runs with the scraper. Dual brush bodies clean the scraped wall. 360° coverage, self-centering, non-rotating stabilizers. Flexible brushes that help a later chemical soak.

Wiper junk catcher

Spaced above scraper and brush. Running in, fluid bypasses and the wiper dresses the wall. Pulling out, flow is forced through the screen so junk does not ride back to surface uncaptured.

String magnet

Recovers ferrous swarf that circulation will not lift. The magnet section can stay non-rotating while the string turns, which protects casing and keeps cuttings on the tool.
